Why I teach...
There are so many reasons that I love to teach and the main reason comes from my love of learning. I love to learn about the world and when I was a kid I learned about the world through reading and writing. Creative writing has always been a passion of mine and I want to help those of love it pursue down that path. I also want to find those students who may not love english so much and help them find literature that they can connect with. If my students take away any lesson from me I want it to be that English is an adventure!
Education
I grew up in St. Charles, IL. In High School I was involved in student council, choir, musicals, and more.
I went to college at Western Michigan University studying English: Creative Writing. There I worked as a Student Ambassador and Orientation Student Leader.
I then attended WMU for my masters in Secondary Education English. During this time I was a student teacher and continued working on Campus.
